BOSCH T102BF 3-Piece 2-5/8 Inch 13 TPI Bi-Metal Jigsaw Blades for Plexiglas - Perfect for Smooth Cutting Acrylic Sheets, Plastic and Woodworking Projects

Bought these for a one-time plexiglass project and these blades produced crisp clean cuts. My understanding is that any fine for-metal jig-saw blade will work for acrylic but since these were specifically listed for it I went with these. Did a stellar job.Worked on 3/8” fiberglass like it should.May not work for thin gauge otherwise absolutely perfectThis blade easily cut through 3/8" thick plexiglass like it was butter. 3/8" is pretty darn thick! It does not flex or bend at all and the 2' x 3' sheet was heavy.The blade left a pretty smooth cut behind, but if you need a perfectly smooth cut, I don't know if that's possible.I was cutting black plexiglass to put under my kitchen sink because a huge leak destroyed the wood under the sink. It wasn't imperative I had a perfectly smooth finished edge.I consider these blades to be one of those things that's not needed on a regular basis, but is so nice to have when you need it. They work well.Unfortunately, I didn't get a picture of the cut edges and the plexiglass is already under my sink, but I did get pictures of it installed. You can see the seam in the middle where it was cut with this blade.??Very useful when you need it.My first attempt at cutting plexiglass with a jigsaw. I wore out 2 blades (heat) but got the job done. Hindsight - material was too thick and cuts too long to use a jigsaw. Should've chosen a circular saw but this was less expensive and since I didn't require a very straight line cut, it worked out. The fact that it did cut more than 4 linear feet of 1/4 to 1/3 inch plexiglass is to the credit of the quality of these blades.its acceptableThis blade cuts surprisingly well and the cuts are clean. However you need to use as much as wd-40 on your blade and your Plexi as much as you can not too much but your arena you wanted to cuts. Because your blade will bend easily which is why I rated it 4 starsSe notan firmes y de buena calidad. Sin embargo, en la descripción dice que sirven para cortar acrílico, y al momento de probarlas sus "dientes" son muy abiertos por lo que me rompió parte del acrílico que quería cortar. No las recomiendo para cortes en este tipo de materiales. (utilicé madera de base para cortar el acrílico)Before getting this I tried the metal blade method for the plexiglass and it got too hot and left a hot mess. Then I decided to get this plexiglass blade with this specific edge and I should have done so from the start! This made clean cuts and did not heat up! Have I done this I wouldn’t have damage my plexiglass :( I would totally recommend!!! Don’t try to save a few dollars by using the metal blade, just get this and you’ll have a better and effortless time!! This was from my experience using the master craft motor hand saw on a giant piece of plexiglass.I used it to cut ABS sheets and did a perfect clean cut.Trick is clamping down the sheet.Set the jig saw to a medium speed so you dont melt the surface and do not rush the cut.I put some masking tape down just in case of tear outs.Never happen.Overall a quality Bosch product.Bought these to cut some 3/8 plexi glass. Blade had no issues cutting through the plexi with minimal chipping.I needed these Bosch blades for a special project, they arrived quickly and look like they will do what I need. Thank YouCuts plexiglass quickly and easily. My regular blades were melting the plastic and making a real mess of the job, but these work awesomely well! Very happy with them and would recommend them to anyone.
