I hadn’t used soldering braid before… just used a solder sucker when trying to un/re-do previous solder work. I recently re-wired a guitar amp and wanted it to be super clean… this stuff works perfectly. Pulled all solder from delicate amp PCB without any damage to the board. Super clean, easy to use. Felt like I was starting with a brand new board. The project turned out perfectly. I’ll be using this on everything from now on.When you are relatively new to soldering some very small connections, sometime it turns out that the connection can be made without using too much solder. This product is great in moments like that where you neeed to clean up some excess solder.This product is easy to use and does an outstanding job of riding areas of excess solder. I prefer using this over any suction device. Always have this item on hand; there will come a time that you’ll need it.I've never used, or seen this stuff before, so I wasn't expecting it to be so small. My mistake.Anyway, it works. It removes solder well enough and has helped me clean up some excess solder bulbs.If you've never used this before, keep in mind, this roll is about 1.5" in diameter and the strand is about 1/8" wide. It's very small, but it works well.The desoldering braid itself works very well but the lack of weight to the container and braid itself means it’s very easy for the braid to slip away from where you want to desolder things. It sucks up quite a bit of solder too.This product is great for solder wicking.Works greatIt’s what you would expect. Works very well.
