7 Pack Braun-Compatible Shaver Cleaning Cartridge Refills - Mint Scented, Made in USA - Perfect for Braun Series 7/8/9 Shavers & Travel Use

I don't love it but it works fine. I mix it per the instructions with a bottle of isopropyl alcohol and leave it in my cabinet. I use a braun series 9 but don't want to deal with the cleaning station so I rinse it with water after each use and give it a good rinse with this solution every 2-3 uses. I have noticed an improvement in temperature, scent, and overall performance but I'll admit it doesn't work quite as well as the Braun factory product (much cheaper however).Use the shaver sabang save moneyLet's face it. We all want to save money. The refill cartridges from Braun are expensive. But for a product to convince me it's worth the time to spend washing out the used cartridges (which is not that easy), it has to perform at lease close to the original and for a significant savings.After using the Shaver Shebang products, I immediately noticed that it sounded like the razor was working slower than after using the Clean-N-Renew from Braun. This is worrisome for 2 reasons. It meant that the replacement product was not lubricating (or cleaning) the shaver as well as the original and this could lead to poorer shave quality and more frequent blade replacements. Secondly, the extra load on the shaver would shorten the battery life -- the duration between charges. This may increase the utility bill slightly, but perhaps a bigger concern would be for travelers who are bound to get caught short when it runs out of charge faster than it used to with the Braun cleaner and they didn't pack their charger since they hadn't needed it on past trips.Now regarding my next quibble, which may be less of a sticking point for some, I'll share my opinion on the fragrance (or lack there of [Yoda must have come up with that saying]). I purchased 2 "flavors" of the replacement cleaning solution -- the mint and the citrus tree. They both had a slight pleasant fragrance, but nothing that I was hoping for. Unlike the Braun that left a lemony smell after a cleaning that was evident during a shave, the Shaver Shebang replacement products did not provide any sort of noticeable aromatherapy during the shaves. Again, not the primary feature you may purchase a shaver cleaning solution for, but there's something to be said for the uplifting feeling of the smell of lemon or some other pleasant fragrance.On a final note, the product does seem to do a decent job of removing the detritus well enough. (There I used my big word for the week... hope I used it Write...) So to conclude, I rated this product as 3 stars for doing a sufficient job of cleaning and providing a cost-saving option to the expensive manufacturer solution, but dropping a couple for an apparent reduction in lubrication and insufficient pick-me-up smellification.Regards.Not too much to say. works as promised, saves money and easy to prepare.Be sure to clean the containers you are reusing.I really wanted to like these but they simply don't work as advertised. All they do is add a scent to the alcohol. Even though the cartridge is filled 80 - 85% as mentioned in the instructions, the red Braun light still comes on and the unit stops working. I have tried to use a little bit more in the cartridge t see if that would fix the issue, but same issue occurs (red light and unit stops working). Very disapointed.UPDATE: I was so disappointed that these did not work that I took my charging unit apart in an effort to try to figure out why I was having issues with these. The instructions tell you to clean out the cartridge, but there is no mention about cleaning out the charging base unit. In my case there was a lot of sediment in the base cradle (where to shaver sits in). So I manually cleaned it out with some compressed air and paper towels. I have only been able to test it one time but so far the red light has not come on. I will update this review if I learn anything new (ne way or another) about this.I was tired of spending money on cartridges, but more importantly, I was tired of having to remember to get them on our next trip to BB&B or Wal-Mart. So, I decided to try this out.The biggest difference is that the shaver will have some moisture on it in the morning, even after sitting for almost 24 hours. While this was at first disturbing, I soon decided that I actually liked the slight lubrication that this provided when shaving the next morning.I haven't decided if I like the 'sandalwood' scent, I mostly think I am not a fan, but it doesn't matter because I shave just before showering anyway.Bottom line: I think this is a great alternative to the Braun refills and makes it more likely to clean the shaver daily instead of being tempted to skip to avoid running out of solution.Refilling my cleaner tank is a big savings in money and in not throwing away an easily reusable product.
