It was such a relief for our pup to take off the hard cone from the vet, which did not allow her to eat or drink or see where she walked, and put this one on. She slept comfortably, ate and drank easily, and could go up and down the stairs. The only thing I would add is that it runs small. Order a size larger than you think you will need. Much easier to tighten it up than to figure out how to make it fit your pup's neck bOur Scottish Terrier (Lila) had a sore under her chin that she kept itching at, which was not allowing it to heal. This was the first E-Collar we purchased for her and that she didn't try to get off. Most of the time she ended up using it as a pillow! Due to the flexibility of the collar, I'm not sure that this would keep you dog or cat from scratching or licking surgical spots or sores further down their body (It would probably depend on the size of your pet), but it works great for protecting the head & neck.For reference: Lila is a medium sized Scottish Terrier and 27 pounds. I do not think this collar would work for pets that are any larger than Lila, as this just fit her.Our dog would not stop chewing on her self. We got this cone to help. After she had it on for a week she had figured out how to maneuver it so she could still chew. This is a soft collar, not a hard plastic one. She figured out how to bend it or go under the kitchen chairs and the whole thing would bend backwards, so it was like she didn’t even have a cone on once she figured that out. The cone is very soft and feels comfortable. We had to go with a hard cone though.This was so cute! My dog looked like a precious flower. She is a cocker and the petals were too long for her so I had to staple them down. She slept on the petals and was very comfortable.Too soft for a dog cone. Great for a decoration/ conversation cone. She looks like a white furry flower... but still licks herself.So obviously my dog was not too happy about me putting this on her but that is to be expected. But whoever designed this apparently didn't expect that because they aren't very strong. My dog tore the straps loose within 15 minutes. Not repairable. And my dog is pretty mellow and generally tolerates this sort of thing. It's cute though, and would make a good costume accessory if you are sure your dog won't destroy it.Very pleased with the product. Exactly what I ordered and expected. Dog still getting use to it but it fits perfect. Followed the size and note they had about choosing a size. I have a 23lb shiba inu and we ordered the xlThis was super cute, worked well as the puppy had literally broke 2 of the plastic collars. Washed up nicely. Would have liked a little bigger, and sometimes it rolled backwards so more eyes on.
