These will be perfect for my needs cooking for a family of 5. I used the biggest one (8qt) to mix tortellini and sauce, it was just what I needed! These did have a horrible smell when I took them out of the box but I kinda expected it from previous experience with stainless steel. They also had the black powder on them that usually comes with new stainless steel items. I put them straight into the dishwasher and cleaned them on an energy saving load and they came out perfect!The last set of metal bowls I got had the rim folded over in the manufacturing process, at first I thought that might be a good thing but as time went on bits of what ever I was making got stuck inside it and became disgusting. These bowls don't have that, and are VERY thick and beefy. Good quality. You can do a hand-stand on top of one (but I wouldn't if I were you, too dangerous) they're that STRONG!I didnt realize how much I needed these until they arrived and I started using them- whether its mixing, washing, transferring foods from one container to the other, these are great quality and a great tool to have in the kitchen.Completes my kitchen set. Now I have the tools I need to mix a complete meal.Talk about all sizes !! I’ve only used them a few times so not sure the durability. Kind of seems like the green will eventually peel off, but we will see!Although it's made of stainless steel, my set of bowls started to get stained. They are also rather thin, which is not a problem for me, but I can see it being a problem for some people.The "5 Quart" largest bowl in the set holds around 2.5 Quarts. They are shallower than they appear in the photos. Construction ok.For years, we've been using whatever bowls we could find to mix things for cooking. The older we get, the more complex the dishes. Bought these last year and we use them every day. Good array of sizes, easy to clean and the stack, so don't take up much space. Brilliant!I bought these once and liked them so much that I went back for another set. I use these on a daily basis for mixing, storage and covering food.I honestly couldn't do anything without them.The quality is superb compared to most others you see online and in shops. I really can't fault them for their function.My only problem is that the bowls I bought the second time were very slightly different in terms of the rim and size. They're only slightly different, but I was a tiny bit bothered when I noticed they sat at different heights. This only bothers me because I've bought two sets, so if you're only getting one, you'll be fine.
