Kaytee Clean & Cozy Small Animal Bedding - Ultra Absorbent White Paper Fiber for Hamsters, Guinea Pigs & Rabbits (1000 cu.in) - Perfect for Cage Lining & Nesting Material

Kaytee is my preferred brand of small animal bedding. It's also my guinea pig's preferred bedding : )She enjoys frolicking in the bedding right after I clean her cage -- and she even enjoys munching on it! I did call Kaytee Customer Service to verify that this habit is natural and they told me it's usual when you switch bedding!The bedding is densely packaged and it does expand, as advertised, to 3 times its size, which allows me to use a bag per month. It's nice that there is no oder and that the texture of the bedding is fluffy. The natural beige color allows me to easily see when the cage needs to be cleaned.I used to to purchase Carefresh bedding. However, I did not like the dust and the smell of the Carefree Natural Bedding. Nor did my little piggy! Both she and I are much happier with the quality of the Kaytee Clean and Cozy bedding.For the price of this, you can't go wrong with amazon pantry. However, I did notice a change in the quality of the bedding. This one feels much more like paper, versus the instore brand was softer. However, it's for my bunny, and I don't think she has a preference of one over the other which is why I gave this 4/5 stars. It's nice how large it is, so I can change her bedding everyday, versus every other day. I will definitely continue to buy from amazon pantry!I've had guinea pigs for a decade, and Kaytee Clean and Cozy bedding is the only kind I use for my piggies. It spreads easily and does the job it needs to do. It's absorbent but also soft enough that my cavys really seem to enjoy burrowing and bedding down in it.I've never had a problem with this product, no defects or flaws in quality. It really does expand more than it seems like it would once it's out of the packaging and shaken out, so you may not need as much as you think. I recommend this bedding to all new guinea pig owners.I normally use Carefresh but I decided to purchase this instead. This bedding is super soft but it doesn't trap odors as well as other brands. I change the bedding several times a week but I always end up adding more bedding to combat the smell before having to change. If you used this in conjunction with another brand of bedding it works better. I will probably purchase again to use only inside their hut because it is so soft but I wouldn't purchase it only for the odor control capabilities.This particular bedding is more papery and doesn't unclump as easily as the others. It still serves its purpose, but not my favorite. We use it with ferrets so it may be perfect for other types of animals.My guinea pigs favor this bedding over the others. When I clean their cages with this fluff, they immediately flop down in it when they return to their cages and go tho sleep. With other brands they run around the cage looking for a place of comfort.Works great. We clean the cage each week. The package lasted 3 months so we were happy with that.This bedding is incredible. It's super compressed in the bag so when you take it out you need to crumble it with your fingers--and once you do the bedding is fluffy and soft. The bedding is wonderful for holding burrows for our furry friends and is my hamsters favorite bedding. I highly recommend it, especially for hamsters who like to burrow!
