I received a free sample of this product earlier part of the year. I liked it quite a bit then, but had a hard time finding it in local stores: Walmart, Walgreens & Target. I became discouraged and that was the end of that. One day I was cleaning out a previous worn handbag when I found the empty sample packet and decided to give it another go round...to my surprise, success, I found it on Amazon.FragranceWhat I love the most is the scent. This smell like fresh apricots; ordinarily, I don't care for scents in my facial products, but this was like love to my scents and I wanted more...CleanseAlba Botanica: Good & Clean leave my skin feeling its absolute best.(When trying any new product, you should never mix-products)I tried it by itself, applied it to my skin and waited...To my surprise, it didn't leave my skin feeling dry. Like a lot of facial products, I'm scrambling to apply moisturizer right after. I still applied my face cream but it wasn't an immediate urgency for me to do so; this says a lot. My skin remained soft to the touch and noticeably clean.FoamI tend to have drying skin in cold weather climates and combination during summer months. I have learned that in using only MILK or CREAM based cleansers, my skin actually aids in having drying skin. Alba Botanica: Good & Clean lives up to it's reputation and is non-drying (for me). I love the way it feels against my skin and how easily it absorbs.I haven't had any breakouts and because it's for sensitive skin (which I don't have) it didn't cause any irritation. I was a bit apprehensive at first, because it's an 'oil clearing cream' and wondered if it would back fire during the winter months? Although, it isn't quite cold enough yet here in Atlanta, I would need to do more research once colder conditions arrive, but for now, I am quite happy and will definitely buy again.I will say this. I do not use cleansers everyday on my skin. I don't believe the skin need it. Most days I only use luke-warm water and maybe a few drops of natural oils which I add to a bowl I keep on-hand. I have stayed with this routine for quite some years now and it seem to always work for me.I use to be in Marketing and have pushed many products in my time. At this time I was doing demonstrations on whatever the latest and greatest facial cleaner was at that time. I learned a very valuable lesson during this time, that changed my way of thinking about cleansers for ever. Time and time again I would ask ladies of all ages and ethnic backgrounds, "what was their secret" and the ones with the best-of-the-best skin always had the same answer...WATER. These ladies didn't use anything on their skin but water and their skin looked glowing and amazingly anew. I also had an EX who had fabulous skin, he too only used water. From that day forth I was hooked. I'm a natural products girl and the ingredients are fantastic, but that's not the only reason I love it. It really does unclog pores! I tried a new face lotion and it gave me clogged pores (ugh!). So I ordered this asap. A week later and my skin is literally glowing and very soft. Best face wash I've bought in a long time and I'll def be adding this to my routine. I love acure brightening scrub, but I like to have a face wash to switch of to, this is it! Awesome price too with amazon prime! I'm a happy girl! Ps. I tried the scrub too, it's great, but I like this one even more! UPDATE: I really love this facewash. I've been using it for a couple weeks and I cannot believe how clear my pores are. It's literally pulled every blackhead from my pores. I love that its leaves your skin feeling clean without stripping it. This facewash is very well formulated and cleans better than most natural facewashes I've used. I won't be witjout this facewash now, it's my new favorite. I actually came on amazon tl see if Alva makes a lotion in this good and clean series.This is a glorious facial wash. When I used it for the first time, I thought I'd stuck my face in a tropical smoothie. (It's got elements of mango, lemon, orange, and I don't remember what else in it, and, boy, it sure smells like it! But in a lovely, sipping smoothies at the beach kind of way.) It didn't irritate my sensitive, psoriasis-prone skin, and my skin kind of has a glow about it now, though I'm not entirely sure if that's because of the facial wash or the time I spent in the sun the day before the morning I first used it. Anyway, I love this cleanser, but if anything happens to change my mind, I'll update my review. The only odd thing about it is that it comes out of the bottle kind of stiff, almost the consistency of a mud mask, but the instructions say to rub it into a lather, and once I started doing that, it softened right up into the cream cleanser I was under the impression I had bought. This is yet another win for Alba Botanica!It has a nice, clean, almost fruity smell to it. It does a good job of cleaning; sometimes it does it so good it squeaks.... I'm not sure about how well it does in cleaning off make-up since I don't wear it all of the time and when I do I use make-up remover when I do.It leaves my skin soft, which is nice. I haven’t paid too much attention to what it does to my skin when it comes to being too oily or too dry, but since it hasn’t stuck out I’m thinking that the balance is a-ok. I have combination skin. I can’t say if it has done anything to my skin, cosmetically speaking, since I am blind, but I haven’t had anyone ask me if there is something wrong with my skin so I guess it hasn’t done anything weird to my face.I have been using Alba Botanica's Daily Detox Foaming cleanser and was pleased with it but when I saw this specifically for acne I thought I'd give it a try too. I prefer the texture and smell of the foaming cleanser but this is nice as well. Leaves my face feeling clean and not too dry. It's hard for me to find something that works with my dry skin and also with my acne, but I feel like the gentleness of this really helps. For the price of this I am really amazed since I have used products for more that come with less product that only ended up irritating my skin, so I know I will be sticking with them until my face needs a change. Super happy I gave them a shot.Great product. Works great at keeping my pregnancy acne at bay, which I couldn't keep under control my last pregnancy. Wish it was back on stock at the price I originally bought it for. It's a little pricey but works great.It is refreshing and helpful in keeping my son's acne at bay. This is my second purchase. Will be buying it again when it runs out.My son likes it but he says that it does leave his skin a bit dry though.I was hesitant since there were no reviews for a few years but I love this product for sensitive skin! It's impossible to find in Canada.I love this face wash, and the shipping was fast.
