This product is a piece of junk, despite being one of the most expensive items in the food chopper category. I bought this piece of crap as a gift for my wife (who previously purchased a PAMPERED SHELF Food Chopper, for 50% less mind you. She had been using it for 14+ years with no problems), only because the old chopper's outer clear chamber had fallen and cracked, and the piece of the locking rim broke off, which made it difficult to use the chopper. It was still fully functional, but didn't have much quality of life appeal.My wife asked me to return this particular product due to it being too expensive even before opening it, but faced with this useless thing now, the return date has long since passed. After convincing her to give it a try, on the VERY FIRST USE, we recognized the KARSAM Chopper blade would not rotate like our previous PAMPERED SHELF Food Chopper. Which means you had to chop, lift, spin, chop, lift, spin! Already making this a hassle and significant waste of time in food prep.As annoying as this was, we had to bite the bullet because the return date passed. That was until on THE THIRD USE, where I attempted to chop half an Onion. To my surprise, soon as I pressed down on the plunger, the chopper blade got stuck in the onion, rather than cutting through it. In attempting to remove the chopper blade from the onion, I pulled the plunger handle back up. Upon doing so, the outer stainless steel handle sleeve fell apart from the plastic plunger shaft. Which was fractured and crumbling apart, under what was by no means under excessive force. Under further examination, the outer stainless steel sleeve was only glued onto the flimsy plastic plunger shaft!To wrap this up, the only good thing I got from this product, was the fact that I got to use the outer tinted chopping chamber, and replace the broken clear one on my PAMPERED SHELF Chopper Unit. This is what we have used since then.THANK YOU PAMPERED SHELF!THANKS FOR NOTHING KARSAM KITCHEN!DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!This one is great. I purchased 2 other brands and returned them before i found this one. It’s a great size and it’s solid. It takes a nice pounding when you’re chopping.Garbage. This item Steals the points on aesthetics, my first chop was the only chop. Damn thing wont rotate after first use. I got a second use realizing that twisting the blade housing somehow, kinda, i think, throws the doohicky cogs inside back in alignment, for one more chop. This investment of $20 my plan to make better food choices, i spent upwards of $100 on take-out this week instead. Its simple, I BUY, it works, i accomplish.If a product could be diagnosed with a disorder; it's narcissistic! Magic looking on yhe outside, just dont have it together inside, infact, just wants to cause you harm. Frustrating 1st experience.The blades don't rotate like they should all the time.Really like my food chopper. Have not used it yet but I just know it is perfect. I will let you know how it works as soon as I use it.I received a used product. The box was not new, it had been opened and closed several times. The product was not placed in the plastic bag very well. And there were scratches, abrasions, and scuff marks on the plastic dark portion of the product.It chops just perfectly and operates very smoothly.Works great easy to clean does the job
