STEP ONE - CLEANING: Remove any dirt and grime from the surface of your furniture. Take the Teak Cleaner for outdoor furniture and shake the bottle well before use. Mix the cleaner into a bucket of warm water at a ratio of 1:5 (1 part Teak Cleaner to 5 parts warm water). Dip a Scrubbing Brush into the mixture and scrub the surface to loosen and dirt and grime. Wipe the wood down using a clean, lint-free cloth. Rinse the wood with clean water to remove any excess Teak Cleaner.

STEP TWO - BRIGHTENING: Brightening will further enhance the natural color of the your patio furniture sets. Take the Teak Brightener and shake the bottle well before use, put on the protective gloves, and mix the Teak Brightener into a bucket of water at a ratio of 1:1. Apply to a clean, lint-free cloth and rub into the garden furniture following the direction of the grain. Leave for a few minutes and then rinse down.

STEP THREE - OILING: Take the Teak Oil and shake the bottle well before use. Ensure the outdoor furniture set is clean and dry. Apply the Teak Oil liberally to a lint-free cloth and rub into the garden furniture following the direction of the grain. Leave for a few minutes and then wipe off any excess. Leave the Oil to thoroughly soak in and dry for between 4-6 hours. For best results and to help make future maintenance easier, you should apply three coats of oil to your garden furniture.

MAINTENANCE: You should clean and re-oil garden/pool furniture once a year. You shouldn’t need to use the Brightener every time but you can choose to do so if you think the furniture has weathered badly, or if you don’t get round to applying the oil every year.

AWARD WINNING QUALITY for ALL TYPES OF WOOD: Our 2022 DIYWeek award winning Garden Restoration Kit is specifically designed for all types of garden furniture. Works brilliantly for Teak wood but it can also be used on all other types of outdoor wood.

Made a 20 year old teak bench look brand new. However be careful where you apply the cleaner and the brightener. They will leave stains on your driveway or wherever you happen to do the cleaning. I do not know if the product will harm grass if it does not that may be the best way to goAfter seeing other reviews I figured we would give it a try to see if it could salvage our once beautiful Patagonian Rosewood table we brought to the states from South America. The table was too big for our new home so it sat unloved on a covered patio for nearly 4 years weathering D.C. winters and summers. Then in storage for another 4 years. The first two stages of cleaning and brightening took off all dirt and grime but left the wood looking dull and dry. Once we applied the oil the magic really happened: Our decade old table looks brand new!The whole process to include drying time took about 4-5 hours but we let it sit for about an hour in the hot sun between each of the three stages to allow the wood to fully dry. Letting the oil soak in for a day or two before we use it to prevent any clothing staining.Photo notes: The center panel under the table had the least amount of environmental damage and shows the closest coloring of the original table. After cleaning, brightening and oiling the rest of the table took on the same dark coloring and looks stunning. So happy to have found this product! My 22 year old teak table set was long overdue for a cleaning. I purchased this set and used the cleaner, brightener and teak oil and it looks amazing. I only purchased one to try, but I would buy this again. This set was able to clean/oil my table and 3 chairs. The only thing I would do different is have something on the ground since the oil did stain the cement and it is difficult to remove.Made all my outdoor furniture look better than when it was purchased! Can’t speak to the actual product as I have not used it; however, I received the bucket with all of the bottles stored upside down and spilled.Beautiful works like it says!Great product. Gave new life to our 6 year old teak set. A lot of work but worth the results. I only wish it went farther as I need at least 2 kits to finish my dining set. A spray bottle definitely helps with the teak oil to get between the slats. My picture shows the before- after step 1- after step 2- and the finished productCleaner was effective a plain tap water. After application there was no difference between treated and untreated teak. Each bottle might do a small teak table and two chairs, but as the first product did not work I declined to proceed. This kit does not contain enough to deal with a table and 6 chairs. I would recommend the brightener and teak oil though had to buy another teak oil. The cleaner was hard work and after a lot of research discovered that a combination of oxiclean, bleach and water together with wire wool worked a lot better! Follow that with the brightener and oil and furniture looks like new.Have used the products as directed and to be honest not worth the money - may work and I say may advisedly but your furniture would not be older than say three years or so as this collection of overpriced products are designed to attract someone who wants to RESTORE hardwood patio furniture - this collection of overpriced products DO NOT do this and it is a bit dis-ingenuous of them to suggest you can restore wooden furniture with these products - the two cleaners (the actual cleaner 5:1 dilution and the colour enhancer 1:1 dilution) are water-based and as bad as that sounds it does not preclude a good clean to 'greyed out' patio furniture but quite simply these products DO NOT WORK - no dramatic change to the appearance of the wood and no discernible RESTORATION as such. If you have kept your furniture indoors in the winter and it just looks dull and starting to go a bit grey and lose its lustre then this might well do the job but it will not meet anyone's idea of RESTORATION - it is in effect a maintenance product and they should not be able to sell it as RESTORATION. A brush clearly shown in the product selling page on Amazon - brush mentioned in the first line of the instructions (also gloves which are also missing from my pack - small things but infuriatingly the only way to sort the problem was to return the whole pack and get another one - which would also probably turn up with no brush - so I opted for the £5 voucher from the amazoniansI'm not normally one for writing reviews however when I come across a product that does 'what it says on the tin' then its worth sharing as I know I would have found it valuable (and indeed did to purchase this in the first place). The tub comes with an easy explanation, apply teak clean, scrub, wash off and dry. Then apply brightener with a lint free cloth, leave for 10 mins and wash off and dry. Apply teak oil 2-3 coats. My teak furniture is some 3 years old and had got to a position where it had silvered but also had the fungus which felt rough to the touch. Some might like the state but it looks 'weathered' rather than nicely aged which is why I searched to see what options were available to make it right. You can see from the photos an example of one piece of furniture in its current state, one having had the teak cleaner applied, another with the brightener and then another with one application of oil and the last with a 2nd. The table has had 2 applications of oil to the top 12 hours ago.You do need to apply some 'elbow grease' to scrubbing the teak (not too hard or you'll score the wood) with an immediate result of a smooth to touch finish (I could probably have done with a light sand to take the stubborn roughness but the size of the job (extended table, 10 chairs, 2 recliners and a coffee table) I just couldn't see myself doing it!Not really sure on the benefit of the brightener, though perhaps it helps to kill off the last of the fungus perhaps?End result I am already very happy with the results! Once the 2nd application of teak oil calms down then it will look as beautiful almost as when I purchased it all.I hope you find this helpful and well done Furniture Clinic for excellent products (the teak oil by the way is a lovely orangey colour and better than the other oil previously purchased, hopefully it will last for a while). All in all a great product. As per my photos it really worked some magic on the furnitureThe cleaner is really good but you need to use some elbow grease. I found that there was not enough product and only able to clean my table and 6 chairs once and using is sparinglyThe brightener is great and really helped. Again not enough productThe teak oil is really good. It smells all right and it really nourishes the wood. We had to get an extra bottle and with that it only lasted for 2 coats. Again could benefit from more product. All in all I'm really pleased with the resultsThese three chairs came out of a collapsed shed, so they were in really bad condition. My partner even doubted they could be saved, but I bought the kit and found it performs really well. From the photos you can see the before, during and final result. The kit comes well packaged with easy instructions. the ONLY reason I am giving it 4 instead of 5, is that we couldn't open the teak oil bottle for the life of us. The top had been wedged on so tightly that the child safe lock apparatus just didn't work - it took pliers, a screw driver and 15 minutes of my partner swearing at an inanimate object before we finally got into the thing! But aside from that, as long as you are prepared to work at the cleaning (the scrubbing brush that comes with the kit was excellent) then you should expect great results.
