Silky, soft to walk on. Colors are muted neutral ivory with just a hint of faint abstract blue. The subtle sheen adds a little glamour. The rug itself is very thin so you need a protective pad underneath but we just have it on wood floors and it works fine since we don’t have kids or a lot foot traffic it is fine. But if you have either, you will want a rug pad so it is less slippery if laying on wood. The watercolor-Esque pattern works well against a navy couch. I have not noticed any shedding that I’ve seen with other area rugs. Packaging and delivery were easy.
