I'm replacing this after about 4 years, which I suppose is fairly good. The fibers have come loose and broken. I was OK with this mat as a way of cleaning my shoes when coming in from the backyard, but we stopped using it a while ago because our little dogs didn't like stepping on it. So I will buy a different type of mat as a replacement.
