I buy the Lemon Verbena concentrate and mix it with water in a spray bottle (about 50/50). My condo association allows the renting of units, and unfortunately, one of those renters moved in with roaches - and over time - the entire building had to deal with roaches. We pay for exterminators monthly for inside and out - and honestly - if there was an improvement, it wasn't obvious. One day I saw a roach in my kitchen - and those dang things are faster than your hand and manage to scurry away before you can smash them. I spritzed one with my Lemon Verbena spray - and it was paralyzed. It wasn't killed - but it didn't know what to do. I've since learned that roaches hate Verbena the way mosquitos hate Citronella. Verbena and Citronella are related - and even have a similar scent. I've conquered the roach issue by spraying all around my kitchen every night before bed (sink, appliances, inside cupboards, countertops - and near wall sockets, which are entry points). I also spray around my bathroom sink and drain, counter, and wall sockets. This habit has been remarkably successful.Next, I will spray a test area of grass outside my condo where neighboring dogs like to relieve themselves to see if it deters dogs while not killing grass (will report back). :)
