I was hesitant to order since there was very few reviews. I looked for a futon for roughly 2 months and finally settled on this one. I got the black fabric. It’s a bit of a firmer seat yet comfortable. I had my mom and sister sit on it even in the middle and couldn’t feel any bars or metal they both said it was comfortable. All 3 of us even sat on it and we’re fine. I’m 5’2 and could lay down comfortably without my head or feet touching either arm rest. If you are taller than me you will want to remove arm rests to lay flat. They remove easy but are very solid when installed they just slide up to removed. The adjustable back is nice to. The fabric seems like it’s heavy duty and thick, that will last a while. One thing I noticed is hair I have a cat and his hair likes to stick to it but that’s normal for any fabric. It lint rolls off easy.This thing feels like it’s built like a tank which is good but it’s very heavy to try and move alone. I’m a smaller female and needed to take it up a flight of stairs. I figured it would be in 2 parts like most futons so I went to take it out of the box to move it separately up the stairs but it’s one solid piece folded in half and ended up have to get help because I couldn’t do it alone. Don’t let it being bulky or heavy scare you. This thing is awesome and very well made. Don’t hesitate just buy it and take the risk like I did. I included pictures as well. The blacker didn’t come with it but the pillows did.Hope this helps you finally end the search for a futon.Update: after a little over a month of having it and using it daily for a few hours it has started to soften up a bit. I liked the firmness but it’s gotten comfier over time.It is nice and spacious, but not comfortable. It is very hard and painful to sleep on. It is very easy to assemble in theory, but the leg supports in the center did not fit properly because the holes for the screws were drilled way to close together and did not align with the holes on the legs. It is also a bit tough to slide the arm rests, you have to play around with them until you get them aligned perfectly to slide up and down. Good futon for show or if you don't plan on sitting/laying on it for too long.It’s easy to put together, and looks just like the picture. The cushioning is a bit hard , but I have taken naps on it comfortably.I love this couch..it is sleek and modern...it is super easy to fold down...it will leans back which is really cool...and it is a bit hard for sleeping but I like it that way!!This purchase waz as described its a lovely futon and it seems sturdy enough I would recommend this purchase as I had been looking for a good food on for my office/guestroom for awhile
