I bought this to protect my phone after I dropped my first one in the river while fishing. The seal is fantastic, although it is somewhat time consuming to screw in the knobs and therefore is not conducive to taking the phone in and out, frequently. I was able to answer calls and hear the caller with only a little difference in clarity while my phone was still in the case. I have a slide-out keyboard, so text messaging was not possible while in the case, and I didn't try viewing photos or other functions. I was able to keep cash, a key and a few other items in the case as there was a decent amount of extra room. I would definitely recommend this product if your number one goal is to protect your phone from water/moisture damage.
