I bought this (after decades of using Joy Lemon Dish Detergent) because I got hooked on the "Bluebell" scent in Mrs. Meyer's Bluebell Hand Soap. I was pretty sure it couldn't clean as effectively as the detergent dish soaps, but soon found out it actually works BETTER than 'Joy,' even though it feels milder and doesn't contain harsh detergents.I don't use an electric dishwasher, so I wash all my dishes by hand- the dishes washed in Mrs. Meyer's felt squeaky clean, cleaner than those scrubbed with Joy. Silverware came out spotless. And it had no problem cutting through the grease on cooking pans. Less rinsing was required to get the soap off.I also found it was almost as effective as bleach-added cleaners in getting red cabbage and red pepper type color-stains off a white cutting board.In sum, if you're hesitating to try this because you think only a hardcore dish soap can get the dishes clean, try this stuff.
