I love this facewash! Gives my skin a clean, fresh, feeling without drying! And, a little goes a long way!This product is extremely efficient in drying out your skin while offering the needed nutrients to establish natural regeneration measures. It doesn’t moisturize as I had hoped but rather leaves a behind the scene version to help sustain moisture.Better than the other stuff from the same companyI use this as a cleanser once per day, though the bottle says twice per day, in tandem with my Clarisonic. :)Feels nice. I don't shop around for too many cleaners. I think this one might just work for me. 28 year old African American guy here without sensitive skin. I loved their original tea tree oil cleanser then googled the benefits of algae and kelp, seaweed and lo and behold...this company has one with kelp added.I travel frequently, and pour this into travel sized bottles. Speaking of bottles, maybe it's unfair for me to give this 4 stars because its the nature of the cleanser...or maybe it's the bottle design, who knows. My only complaint is that sometimes the leftover cleanser clogs the nozzle a bit. Be careful because squirting like that could send it in the wrong direction. Nothing a finger nail and 2 seconds of effort can't fix though. So just be mindful of that. 5-stars otherwise.Ok so here it is! I wanted so badly to love this cleanser. I did love this cleanser, but I can’t ignore the ways it didn’t love me back. This cleanser smells magnificent! Unfortunately, I believe that the very thing that made me want to stay is the reason I must go. Fragrance is always a gamble and while our skin may react differently at different times to different degrees it is my understanding that it usually eventually reacts. Upon first uses I did experience a little "burning" in my cheek area. I wanted to believe that this "burning" was the cleanser doing work and once I was on the better side of that work I would no longer experience it. This was not the case. There were times that sensation was significantly diminished but it almost always was present to some degree. It made my skin feel clean but the inflammation and discomfort makes it a no for me. I would love to try this if they removed the fragrance.I got this product based off of a blog post about managing hormonal acne and boy did I choose wrong. I want to preface this review by saying my skin is NOT sensitive. I have used strong chemicals on my face to try to get rid of acne and not had pain or redness.Upon first application, I was surprised at how it hurt and almost stung on my skin, but I followed the instructions and scrubbed for a minute then rinsed it off thoroughly. My face broke out within a few hours and was very red, which i am not prone to being. I used it the second day and now my acne is turning cystic. It was almost all healed from the other parts of the nlog recommended regime I was following but nd now I'm covered in deep acne. Everything about this face wash was terrible and I wish I could get my money back. Don't waste your money or time.Updated: 5/31/2017I've been using this for about 2-3 weeks. I must say, it is pretty great. My break outs have stopped/have come less often. My face feels smooth, as in no bumps. I do use a moisturizer afterwards, because my skin does get very dry, but that isn't just the cleanser's fault. The only problem that has arised is the cleanser clumps inside the pump making it hard to pump out.Well. I just got this today, so I will update after a couple of weeks.Anyway. I love the scent of this! So much less in your face than the original. It also isn't as drying. However, it does feel like it is dry when you wash it off. I think that's the "thoroughly clean" part. So it really cleans off everything.My only complaint is the fact that it's so watery. However, it still lathers just as good as anything else.I've been using desert essence for about 5 years, however this is my first time with this "flavor". I love their vegan products. My only con is the wrapper. The colored layer falls off almost immediately upon getting wet. I wash my face in the shower, so this meant every time every time I touched the bottle, I got several pieces of the packaging plastic sticking too my body. However, I love the product enough that it is worth still 4 stars. It's worth noting that I've never had this problem before. I was using my old pump bottle (supplemented with large refills) for 5 years and the wrapper never fell off.Does a splendid job of cleaning my oily face.
