I loved this movie when it came out, and have thought about it several times since then, wondering if I just thought it was funny because I was young, or if it really was good. Unfortunately, it just sort of disappeared; I'm guessing because all the critical reviews are terrible. None of the streaming services seem to have ever had it. I finally couldn't stand to wonder whether it was as good as I remember, and whether it aged well, so I broke down and bought the blue ray. My wife seemed skeptical, and after telling this back-story to my nephew, his curiosity was piqued so he invited himself and my niece to the showing. I literally had to dust off my blue-ray player and plug it in. After a couple iterations of disk errors, followed by breath-fog cleanings, it fired up and we were on our way.Laughs, tense moments, heart, mystery, and even great visuals; it held up beautifully. We all loved it, and I dare say it was even more timeless than I expected. This movie needs to make a cult comeback!
