We had been looking for simple placemats for a while, because we had stone countertops made which are fashioned from a very energetic and powerful stone pattern. The countertops look fantastic, but created a problem whereby selecting and finding placemats to use proved surprisingly difficult. We bought some black plastic ones similar to these in Norway recently, but they slid all over the place. But these babies work. You slightly dampen the surface of the stone, immediately put these down, and they really hold fast. As for cleaning, just wipe them off with a damp sponge of cloth. And the surface is a dull black that is very unobtrusive but looks classy.I wanted a plain, rectangular shaped, wipe off placement to use under my bold fiesta wear dishes. These fit that criteria but don’t clean up as I had hoped. They still have marks on them even after wiping with clean, damp cloth. I am still using them, but not when we have guests.Good quality mats. Easy to clean and the navy color is very nice.I use 2 of these mats on my kitchen island. My island is black, white and grey granite. Looks like an Oreo cookie mix. I wanted all black to stand out and it does. They look great. But you will see any and all crumbs that fall on it, so you have to keep them clean and wiped off. Just using a wet paper towel and dry with a dry kitchen towel will make them look good as new. So far, they have remained flat on my island. They arrived flat and I do not roll them up for that same reason.Placemats are great quality. Very easy to clean and always look nice. Great value for the price. I am able to use them on my wooden table as they are heat resistant and help keep moisture from glasses from ever touching my table.Of the set of 6, 5 seem to be fine but 1 has started to curl.I really like these - they suit the look I wanted, and they are nice & sturdy. I just wish the edge would stop curling up!I have been using these for about a month everyday and they r great! So far they have been heat resistant for normal plate food not hot pot heat of course! They wipe down great, front and back are the same! I bought black!Great colour and thickness of placemats, but out of the 6, 3 of them had defects (hole, black marks which cannot be rubbed off).Just wanted mainly to comment on the colour. They are a blue red, which is nice. Too many pictures will show, the red in a colour that looks darker and they turn out orange.We really enjoy the color, quality and price. Was really worth it to buy them look fantastic.They are very nice, but they do stain easily!I am forever rubbing off the coffee rings. :(Muy buen producto. Vale cada peso de su valor.
