I bought this soap holder to hold a solid laundry bar (by the brand Ethique) that I use as a stain remover. It's VERY nice to have the brush feature on the lid (why I bought this soap holder) to rub the soap into the fabric. It works just like I needed it to and makes the soap bar easier to use.I really like it and would give it a solid five stars except that the lid doesn't secure into the bottom of the container. I tried both of them and it didn't on either soap holder. The lid just sits on top which is fine when it's just sitting there flat on the shelf, but the minute I go to move it the lid comes loose/ falls off. The spot I'd really like to keep it next to the washer would require it being on it's side, but I can't because the lid comes off. Of course it's easy enough to store it up on a shelf, but it should be simple to make these with a groove where the lid could pop in and stay on. It's a good item but would be fantastic with that one little fix.Functional, sturdy and beautiful design.Overall, I like these soap boxes. They are deep and will fit larger bars of soap. My only complaint is that the lid is not secure and easily comes off but I will use this in my own shower rather than for travel.
