I love this product. It actually works. I was able to remove plague easily with it and honestly, I feel like I don't have to go to the dentist twice a year anymore. It has the power to remove plaque but it generated high pitch noise and it failed. Of course, I returned it and I ordered this one. This one is quiet and has NO high pitch noise. The only thing is that at the highest level it can't remove the plaque. This one is so gentle that it won't hurt the gum but it is so gentle unable to crack the teeth rock.Home dental devices are proliferating and I know it because every time I visit my dentist I see a new gadget or tool on display and recommended by the dental assistant. I had a similar plaque removing tool and grew tired of it quickly - it vibrated and it seemed to “do something” when it met my teeth but it felt more like a message and less like a dental tool. This ultrasonic tooth cleaner actually has features that make sense (for me), and I really appreciate that when the very pointy hook touches hard teeth it works, but when it touches soft gums or skin, it stops. There is a light close to the cleaning end of the tool and there additional hooks and a tiny wrench to secure them in place or remove them. The cleaner is waterproof (though I can’t imagine I would shower with it). Only gripe would be with the rubber piece that covers the USB-C port. It is a challenge to remove, though I’m certain it was designed to fit tightly to prevent water for those brave enough to shower and deep-clean their teeth at the same time. After a few days using this cleaner, I found that it certainly compliments my tooth brushing routine and I can see that it does remove plague. I am not yet ready to test it around the gums but between teeth it’s a champ.
