I have dry sensitive skin being a woman of color it's greatI love this cleanser, but the tip of the pump was broken off when delivered. A bit more care with the package could have avoided this. There was no padding, just free flowing in a plastic bag. Luckily I still had my old bottle and swapped it out, otherwise I would have returned it.This is literally the best face wash to use for all skin types you literally wash the day off with this deep cleansing face wash you only need a half of pump thoughLove this face cleaner. Product leaked I package. Disappointing because it’s a little pricey.This product is definitely one of the better facial washes that I’ve come across. I have sensitive skin and acne and so does my husband and we both use this and love this. I can use this and not have to worry about my skin breaking out. I love how the bottle comes in this large size and has lasted me for over a month even with 2 of us using this regularly. We will definitely be buying this again!Love itI placed an order for Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel, 16.9 fluid ounce size, on 08-17-2015, and it arrived on August, 19th. I received a genuine Dermalogica product, completely full, with the holographic seal along the side of the pump and threaded cap - just as it is purchased from a salon. I was apprehensive about buying this product via Amazon because of all the questioning over whether the products customers were receiving were legitimate. I cannot speak to another customers experience; however, I can assure you that what I have received is genuine. It arrived in a taped plastic bag to protect other parcels from damage in case it leaked, but other than that, it arrived just as it is provided for purchase in my local salon (see picture). I have opened it and compared it to the remainder of the gel in the bottle that I had purchased from the salon, and it is exactly the same - same in color, consistency, aroma, lather and performance. I saved a little over $11.00 from the salon price on the 16.9 oz. bottle. As far as the gel is concerned, it is great. It washes clean without drying the skin or causing any irritation. I find that the 16.9 oz. bottle lasts about nine months, using it twice a day.I am not ashamed to say - I am a Dermalogica girl! I have been using Dermalogica skin care for over 10 years now. I have sensitive dry skin and have tried a plethora of products that either break me out or don't address the dryness of my skin. I wash my face every morning and every night using the Dermalogica special cleansing gel, I then spray my face with the multi-active toner, followed by the Active Moist moisturizer for my face and the Intensive Eye Repair Cream for my undereye. In the Winter I include the Daily Microfoliant to address super dry skin issues caused by the weather. I do not experience breakouts, dry skin, or patchiness of my skin. It is clear and healthy looking - all thanks to the Dermalogica brand. I highly recommend this product and this brand. My daughter, who has combination skin with frequent breakouts, recently switched to this brand - I believe she is using the Ultra Calming cleanser. Her face has started to clear up and become healthier. Highly recommend this product!I have been using this product for over 20 years and was delighted to receive an Amazon gift card and find that it was available to purchase with prime delivery.I wish I had taken notice of the other reviews doubting its authenticity. There is no way this is the genuine product - the smell is different, the texture is different, it feels slimy on your skin and takes a lot of washing off. It made my otherwise good skin flare up and I know that this product is not Dermalogica quality.Do not waste your money buying this.I complained to Amazon and they refunded me immediately but it shouldn't have come to that. I don't expect an Amazon approved seller to sell fake products. Lesson learned!Arrived at my door in an exceptionally poor state. Delivered quickly as expected, but the box was completely open and the bottle had leaked all over - lost about a quarter of the volume! It was dirty and the seal had broken. (Delivered by Hermes).The product itself is a bit suspicious of being fake. The bottle appears fine. The seal with the QR code doesn’t link to anything meaningful. The consistency of the gel was off compared to previous bottles i’ve bought from official outlets. There was also something different about the smell of it - slightly citrusy/perfumed which is also odd. After I applied it to my skin and washed off I had some irritation/mild redness after 5 minutes or so. There could be additives in this, or the gel in this is counterfeit. Very disappointed in this - Amazon need to do better.I ordered this product as I have been using it for 15 years now. It arrived without the 'dermalogica' seal, which all of their products have. It had a piece of sellotape across the top in place of this. It smells completely different to the product I would expect and was also a completely different colour (should be clear but was actually yellow!). Would not recommend at all and I had to contact Amazon to complain about it.I love this cleanser! I use it every morning (and only morning, I use something else in the evening) and although it's expensive, it's lasts me almost a year. It's in a very convenient pump bottle, I believe it saves me valuable seconds on the morning by not having to take the top off a bottle, it foams easily and nicely and is gentle on my skin. I find a single pump of cleanser onto wet hands, rubbed into a wet face is enough to clean my face each morning. I've never had any reaction or outbreak from using this product, which I have experienced from some other branded cleansers.The bottle looked as if it had been opened as the security tab was twisted & broken open. I do not trust that this product has been tampered with. It’s the second dermalogical product I have ordered that has had the security tab broken. I will be returning!
