Bought this one after searching through many any listings looking for a shade that would work in my east facing kitchen window. It is actually two windows but I see it as one. I didn't want two separate shades or blinds. I didn't want curtains (other than the short valence at the top). So when I found this, it had a dimension that seemed like would work. It does. Saw their guarantee and decided to go for it (price was better than most too!).We just finished putting it up and I am pleased. Easy pull down accordion style shade. Goes up and down with ease, just a soft touch is all that is needed. Can have it all the way up, all the way down, or anywhere in between. Simple design and look. Clean.I wanted it primarily for use in the summer when the sun really scorches this side of the house. A lot of heat pumps through from the sun. We dont have air conditioning, so finding ways to keep it cool takes creativity. I usually will tack up a thick towel to help keep out the heat. I figured it would also help retain heat in the winter, as well as offer added privacy since the darkness comes early. I didnt so much need it for cutting out light. If I did that, then probably adding in a set of curtains to make sure any light leaking in from sides or above are reduced. I have my shade attached outside the frame, just above as the window has a framing down the center (because the area I am covering is actually two windows) that would not warrant hanging it inside the framing.For my needs, it really impresses. Had my husband put it up :)We both love how the shade is very easy to move up and down. The little tab for pulling down can be moved if need be. I have it centered, and most people will. But I like that little detail.I'm happy with it. If I find other spots in the house where I want a set of nice blinds, I will be coming back for this brand.the best blinds, my room is completely dark, the installation is super clear and simple that I could do it myself, the quality is very good and it is easy to open and close. You do need to drill a hole on the top of your blinds frame. Very light weight and easily opened and closedso bad qualityEasy to install and use. Replacing all my blinds with these.
