This is the best chalk for roofing! Very vibrant and stays put on whatever material you use it on!This product is not bright red. It’s a greyish brown brick red. Did not suit my intended use. The blue and yellow really pop, and this looks especially dull beside them.I work for a theater, and when COVID came along and we weren't able to do performances indoors we started doing drive-in shows in our parking lot. Unfortunately, the painted lines are angled in a less-than-optimum-for-viewing way. Not knowing how long it would be until we could be back indoors we didn't want to permanently repaint, so we needed a way to temporarily re-mark the parking lot. This seemed to be our most affordable option.The good: The chalk is easy to work with, and soft enough that I can use it down to a very small nub. The yellow color is very bright when fresh, making the lines easy to see. It will definitely turn your hands yellow (I wear a disposable glove when using it), but it does wash off fairly easily.The bad: The color fades (turns white) fairly quickly in our Arizona sunshine. As a result, I end up having to re-apply on a weekly basis. It also completely washes away when it rains (luckily that doesn't happen all that often), and it is so soft/powdery than when used on a rough surface (like our asphalt parking lot), the wind can blow a fair amount of it away (the lines are still visible, though).Overall it is an affordable, easy-to-work-with solution to our problem. We're on our second box. We're hoping to be back inside by summer but if not, I will definitely purchase again.I like that it doesn’t get all o er you. Great value for the money. The chalk is WHITE. works without any issue for metal roof sections (break one in half) and general marking needs.I’m probably still going to spray paint this batch, even though it has the “coating”, hands still get messy with it.Used these to mark out a Pickleball court in our neighbourhood, they stand up to rain quite well and that means I can simply trace over the old mark quite easily.
