The ink is nice and dark but you only get 1-2 good uses from each pad so be careful. If you push too hard you get a black blob, if you don't push hard enough you'll get a splotchy print.I was very pleased with my order. The instructions were very straightforward, and the size was perfect for taking handprints / footprints of my newborn. The size would not be ideal for a dog paw print, unless it was a little dog. I would definitely recommend the quantity, as it took multiple attempts to get the perfect print.These are very easy to use as long as you use it against a hard surface. I put them on a clip board and then pressed the child’s foot against it when they were asleep. Perfect for Christmas gifts to new grandparents.We used it for our son's hands and feet. This is simply untrue, the ink pads are incredibly flimsy and only just manage one print. There's simply not enough ink on the pad for a second imprint. The "medium" ink pads are far too small, barely fitting a single infant foot. Do not waste your money on this kit, just go to the dollar store and buy a washable ink pad. It's totally safe and easy to wash off.
